Form MD-1 is Maryland's Wood Destroying Insect Inspection Report, recording any visible evidence of termites and other wood-destroying insects, the location of the damage and insects involved, and any visible damage observed. It's the standard inspection document in most Maryland real estate transactions, where lenders require it before financing a home purchase. Only an applicator holding Maryland's Category 7B (Wood Destroying Insects) pest-control certification may perform the inspection and certify the MD-1.
